First Outing of 2024 Season

The first outing of the 2024 season, Islamouth and Meiklour House on the River Tay. So good to get in the water again after a long dark Winter! My first time fishing this beat and was really taken by the pools and the beautiful surroundings. Ghillie Iain was extremely welcoming and freely shared his knowledge and experience of the beat with us. Only downside for me was the water was big which favoured the ‘cheating stick’ over the fly but a great day nevertheless with two fish landed, unfortunately both last year’s models. Look forwards to a return visit.
