Starting in Mid December and finally completed in February I now appreciate just why there are sadly so few wooden boats today in the angling club. Compressed into 5 minutes is 8 weeks of scraping, sanding, filling, treatments, painting and varnishing. Now looking shiny and proud “The Dogged Angler” is ready for another hopefully exciting season on The Big Loch.

Comment,…….”So few wooden boats in the angling club”. Correct, and if properly looked after and maintained, your wooden boat will still be providing pleasure for future anglers long after the Tupperware fleet has been recycled as plant pots.

Thanks Stuart, yes an ageing membership and modern time pressures and attitudes have seen a drastic reduction in wooden boats.
